Accent’s new look features a mesh-style upper grille with a dark chrome surround that is complimented by a matching lower grille, the two separated by the prominent bumper. The restyle enhancing the car’s bold sportiness and youthful image.

New headlight bezel colour.

The white bezel strip at the upper edge of each headlight now features a metallic silver finish to give a more premium look.

16" Alloy wheels.

The Accent Sport (sedan and hatch) come standard with the stylish 16-inch eight-spoke alloy wheels previously exclusive to the Accent SR.

LED side repeaters.

With smartphone/MP3 connectivity, you get to choose your favourite driving tracks, and Bluetooth™ technology lets you audio stream, as well as make hands-free calls.

The four-speaker audio system gives you full control of your iPod® via the USB port, allowing you to use the standard cable supplied with your iPod® and take your tunes with you.

Keyless entry.

In addition to remote keyless entry, Accent offers extra personal security with the Hyundai Active Locking Operation (HALO) system, which locks all the doors when driving, and unlocks them once the key is removed from the ignition.

103kW 1.6L engine

Both Accent Sport sedan and hatch now boast the more powerful 1.6-litre GDi Gamma engine previously available only in the now-superseded Accent SR.

Producing an impressive 103kW maximum power and 167Nm maximum torque, the 1.6-litre Gamma engine significantly improves the Kappa engine’s 74kW and 133Nm.

Fuel-efficient power.

Be economic with a combined fuel consumption is a low 6.3L/100km (manual) and 6.6L/100km (automatic).

All engines use dual continuously variable valve timing (D-CVVT) to deliver the precise air-fuel mixture required to meet engine demands and minimise fuel consumption. This, coupled with an aerodynamic body, adds up to a remarkable performance.

Locally tested, locally tuned.

The Accent’s suspension and steering has been specifically tuned to meet Australia’s unique road conditions. The long wheelbase of the new Accent contributes to a smooth ride with enhanced stability, while the sealing and sound muffling materials ensure a quiet, refined drive.

Intelligent braking.

The ABS with EBD helps prevent the brakes locking up and optimises pressure between the front and rear wheels. In emergencies, the BAS assesses how fast the brake pedal is pressed then instantly applies maximum force, helping short braking distances. Image shown is for illustration only.

Vehicle Stability Management System (VSM).

You could be driving along happily, when, all of a sudden, the vehicle starts to skid away from your intended direction. VSM is designed to detect this and apply corrective steering pressure to help you regain control.
